I’ve been reading J.E. Lendon’s Song of Wrath, which talks about how Greek ideas of pride, hubris and manliness fueled the opening of the Peloponnesian War.
Sometimes when you get called out, you have to answer.
Once I figure out where all these stickers go, it’s on.

Can the audience anticipate something along the lines of “Troy vs Bruce?” Curious to hear your take on the rules. At times, I think they gave me a mild headache. :-/ I’m still on the fence on this game, so I will be interested to hear about your experience.

I will blog it for sure, once the game is done and maybe I can talk Bruce into writing his turns. PQ-17 is a game about searching and bluffing to an extent (there are dummy fleets). So a live blow-by-blow thing wouldn’t work as well as it did for Twilight Struggle.

I got the Woodman book, Arctic Convoys 1941-45, which Chris Janiec in his bibliography for PQ-17 calls “the best” history available. Maybe it will give me a leg up!

May the best man not take a swim in the frozen abyss.
Let me know if it works well offline (PBEM).
