I don’t want this to turn into a boardgaming blog (though I hope to have Turn 3 of the AAR up later today) but indie developer Michael Akinde has posted some of his thoughts on the Avalon Hill classic Republic of Rome over on his Imperium blog.
Still no news on a release date over there, but that’s the thing with one-man operations.

My wife and I were two of the playtesters on Republic of Rome. What a magnificent game! I would love it if a computer game could be developed on the same subject.

Awaiting this reprint from Valley with great excitement. H:RvC, though long delayed, was a good, solid product in the end. Let’s hope nothing foils RoR’s publication.
And Troy, you *should* just officially have half your blog cover board games. What’s to lose?
