Just returned from opening day at RFK where the Nationals began what is sure to be a disappointing season by losing 9-2 to Dontrelle Willis and the Marlins. Hanley Ramirez was 4 for 5 with two or three stolen bases. It was a scorchingly hot day for April, too.

Surely not as disappointing as Curt “I am the Ace” Schilling and the Sox losing 7-1 to Meche and the Royals.
It’s only one game, though, right? Sigh…

Yeah, only one game. But there’s a world of difference between the Red Sox and the Nationals. Schilling is followed by a couple of good starters in the rotation.
