It’s an interesting discussion at the beginning, and I agree with a lot of what’s said. But the move to the PR/preview issue… this is where I get uncomfortable with the game media. I don’t like being the promotional wing of the game industry, but readers want to hear about new stuff.
I have a difficult time reconciling my desire to only “promote” the good games–which I typically only feel 100% comfortable with in “final” form–and the readers’ desire to consume everything about every game.
