Considering that one of my major complaints about EIC was the constant dropping into port mode, it’s typical that they would fix that in the first patch.
But seriously, guys, this is the kind of thing that should have been caught in play testing and that Beta testers (if they weren’t consumed by group think) would have mentioned. Points for fixing it on day one, but no credit for not fixing it in June.
So… Is it now a buy recomend? I had the definite impression that it was previously not..
I would say not.
Yeah, still not quite a buy recommendation. Maybe not even a Try It. Still too shallow and repetitive with too few options in managing cargo.
Although port mode was probably the most aggravating thing when one is playing the game, it was really the other criticisms that you and Tom Chick mentioned that made me realize this wasn’t the game I was looking for. It’s a shame because it’s the kind of game I really like.
