Great show, and a subject that should be revisited at some point.
Listening to the game designers,it seems that artificial logic is still a series of boolean based algorithms-if this situation then “that”, if not, then “this”.
It would seem such a system can never manage all the possible combination of variables that games involve.
The panel touched upon “neural networks” as an alternative basis of AI. Exploring other AI architectures would make for an interesting future show.
