My first (and hopefully not last) contribution to webzine The Escapist is now up. It’s a short piece about the developers of A Force More Powerful, one my favorite CGM review assignments from last year.

Good article, Troy! I would have commented there, but I didn’t feel like registering for the Escapist forums.
The learning design specialists in my division at the Bank have been bringing up serious games lately, and A Force More Powerful usually figures in somehow. I may send this around to them.

Not register for the forum! I’m shocked.
If you haven’t tried AFMP, Thomas, I recommend it. Or, wait for the update when the political economy stuff gets improved. It gets repetitive after a while, since the ICNC has a clear idea of what needs to be done to get a movement going, but it’s bare bones approach really helps accentuate the mechanics underneath the sim.

Nice article! I may have to see if I can find a copy to play around with…
