How about torpedos that hit ferris wheels? Now that would be cool to put in the game.

Modern era subs? Yeah, they phased out anti-air torpedoes shortly after the Renaissance.

The question of course, is not whether SAMs on subs is practical but whether the game was supposed to have them. Apparently it wasn’t.

That falls under the heading of “We never even thought to test that.” They probably didn’t test whether submarines could torpedo soldiers, either. Although maybe they did. In the heat of a clickfest, no telling what might happen.
