It could be because I love history and it could be because I have no sense of direction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/\">Strange Maps<\/a> proves to be the perfect place for someone like me to lose himself for sixty minutes when I should be doing something else.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the name, <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2007\/03\/26\/91-early-20th-century-balkan-aspirations\/\">not all the maps are really strange<\/a>, though <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2006\/09\/10\/5-the-38-state-union\/\">some certainly are<\/a>. You have maps <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2008\/05\/29\/281-holmes-sweet-holmes-a-floorplan-of-221b-baker-street\/\">from fiction<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2007\/08\/17\/165-licking-europe-asia-as-a-horse\/\">maps from history<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2008\/04\/21\/266-where-news-breaks\/\">maps from researchers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/strangemaps.wordpress.com\/2007\/03\/27\/94-gastronomic-cartography-the-france-of-breads\/\">maps from bakers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since all strategy gamers are, by nature, cartographers, I thought I&#8217;d pass along this site. I saw it mentioned at <a href=\"http:\/\/andrewsullivan.com\">Andrew Sullivan&#8217;s blog<\/a>, but which a friend assures me he told me about it months ago and I just forgot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love maps.
