To build your first spearman in <em>Ancient Wars: Sparta<\/em> you must:<\/p>\n<p>Build a barracks<br \/>\nBuild a forge<br \/>\nBuild a workshop<br \/>\nResearch &#8220;cold forging&#8221; at the forge<br \/>\nResearch spears at the workshop<br \/>\nDesign a unit that can use a spear at the barracks<br \/>\nBuild unit<\/p>\n<p>If you want him to have a shield, you have to research that, too, and then add a shield to the design.
