This is a tried and true wargaming mechanic that GMT used to great &#8211; if baffling &#8211; effect in its <em>Great Battles<\/em> games.<\/p>\n<p>Iain McNeil, lead designer at Slitherine, is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theiwf.org\/PastResults\/2001\/2001DBMResults.html\">world champion DBA\/DBM player<\/a> and therefore intimate with that ruleset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British strategy game developer Slitherine is now working on a ruleset for tabletop wargaming.
